Refraktteleskoope, also known as refracting telescopes, are optical telescopes that use lenses to gather and focus light. This is in contrast to reflector telescopes, which use mirrors. The primary lens, called the objective lens, is positioned at the front of the telescope tube. Light passes through this lens, which bends or refracts the light rays, bringing them to a focal point near the rear of the tube.
