Radiaatorsüsteemidega, often translated as radiator systems, are a common method for heating buildings. They function by circulating hot water or steam through a network of pipes to radiators, which then transfer heat to the surrounding air. The primary components include a boiler or heat source, which heats the water or steam, pumps to circulate the fluid, and the radiators themselves, typically made of metal, which have a large surface area to maximize heat emission.

The process begins with the boiler heating water to a desired temperature. This hot water is then pumped through insulated pipes to the radiators located in different rooms. As the hot water flows through the radiator, it heats the metal fins or sections. This heat is then radiated into the room and also transferred to the air via convection, warming the space. Cooler water, having given up its heat, returns to the boiler to be reheated, completing the cycle.

Steam radiator systems work similarly but use steam, which is generated at higher temperatures than hot water. This steam travels to the radiators, condenses back into water as it cools, and then returns to the boiler. While effective, steam systems can be less efficient and more prone to noise than hot water systems. Modern radiator systems often incorporate thermostats for precise temperature control and may use energy-efficient boilers to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact. They remain a popular choice due to their reliability and ability to provide comfortable, even heating.
