quyidagi

Quyidagi is an Uzbek demonstrative determiner meaning “the following” or “the one below.” It is used to point to information, items, or sections that are presented later in the text or in a list, and to introduce a noun phrase that will be described or enumerated subsequently.

In grammatical use, quyidagi precedes the noun it modifies and agrees with it in number. For example, quyidagi jadval means “the following table,” while quyidagi jadvallar means “the following tables.” It is common in formal and semi-formal Uzbek writing, such as manuals, reports, academic texts, and articles, but can appear in general prose as well. The construction helps organize content by signaling that the reader should look at what comes next.

Typical constructions include quyidagi matn, quyidagi ro‘yxat, quyidagi ko‘rsatmalar, and quyidagi ma’lumotlar, each introducing the material that follows. For referring to the items collectively after they have been listed, the plural form quyidagilar can be used, meaning “the following ones.”
