Habitat and distribution: In the fictional setting, Pudren is native to montane cloud forests of the Eldaran archipelago, at elevations roughly 800–1800 meters. It favors shaded, humid soils and can persist in disturbed secondary growth.

Etymology and cultural role: The name derives from the Pudri language, meaning “glimmering leaf.” In stories, Pudren is used as an ornamental plant in bioluminescent gardens and appears as a motif for resilience and light; in-universe conservation is sometimes a plot element.
