Poznámka is a Czech unit of measurement that served as a common fraction of a pražská míle, which was used to measure distance in the former Czechoslovakia. It is equivalent to one-eighth of a pražská míle or, in decimal terms, 0.125 kilometers.

In terms of its history, the poznámka was introduced during the Habsburg era in the 18th century, when measurements were aligned with the Gyulai carline system for road and bridge construction. The poznámka was widely used in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and other European countries with similar measuring systems.

The poznámka was used for various navigational and administrative purposes, including demarcating road lengths, delimiting property boundaries, and setting engineering standards. It also had practical applications in everyday life, such as measuring the distance between towns or calculating travel times.
