Polnischdeutschen is a German-language designation for people of mixed Polish and German origins or for German-speaking communities in Poland and their descendants. The term can refer to individuals who identify with both Polish and German national or ethnic identities, as well as to historical populations in areas where Polish and German communities have coexisted, such as Silesia, Pomerania and parts of East Prussia.
