Poligonului is a term that translates from Romanian to English as "polygon." In geometry, a polygon is a closed plane figure made up of straight line segments. These line segments are called sides, and they meet at points called vertices. The simplest polygon is a triangle, which has three sides and three vertices. Other common polygons include quadrilaterals (four sides), pentagons (five sides), hexagons (six sides), and so on. The number of sides determines the name of the polygon. Polygons can be classified in several ways. They can be convex or concave. Polygons can also be regular or irregular. A regular polygon has all sides equal in length and all interior angles equal in measure. An irregular polygon does not have these properties.
