Other plasma proteins include enzymes, hormones, and complement proteins, each contributing to specific physiological processes like digestion, endocrine regulation, and immune defense. The concentration and balance of these proteins are closely monitored in clinical settings as deviations can indicate various medical conditions, including liver disease, kidney disorders, malnutrition, and inflammatory or infectious processes.
