planáriákban
Planáriákban refers to planarians, a group of free-living flatworms belonging to the class Turbellaria. They are typically found in freshwater and marine environments, though some species inhabit terrestrial habitats. Planarians are characterized by their flattened bodies, often triangular or oval in shape, and possess a simple nervous system with a primitive brain and two eyespots that can detect light intensity. A distinguishing feature of many planarians is their remarkable regenerative ability, allowing them to regrow entire bodies from small fragments. This capacity for regeneration has made them a model organism in scientific research, particularly in studies of developmental biology and regeneration. Their diet usually consists of small invertebrates, which they consume by extending a muscular pharynx from their ventral side. Reproduction in planarians can be asexual, through fission, or sexual, involving hermaphroditic individuals.
