Pedagogiden is a term that refers to indigenous people living in the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia. Historically, they resided in the same geographic region as the Itelmens, another indigenous group in the region.

The Pedagogiden people had a distinct culture and language, which is now extinct. Archaeological and anthropological research suggests that they lived in the Pacific Coast of Kamchatka, where they engaged in subsistence activities such as fishing and gathering. Their diet consisted mainly of seafood, berries, and roots.

Ethnographic accounts from the 19th and early 20th centuries provide limited information about the Pedagogiden people's social organization and customs. They are described as being part of a matrilineal society, where property and social status were inherited through the maternal line. It's also reported that they had a complex spiritual system, which involved the worship of various natural spirits and gods.

In the 18th century, the Pedagogiden people started to decline in number due to diseases, conflicts with other groups, and assimilation into Russian culture. By the early 20th century, their distinct identity and culture had largely disappeared.

Today, the remains of the Pedagogiden people are often categorized among the larger Itelmens group, due to the historical and cultural overlap between the two groups. However, research on the Pedagogiden people continues, with a focus on documenting their history, culture, and traditions before they were fully assimilated into dominant cultures. This work aims to preserve the knowledge and experiences of this previously underdocumented group.
