Pecsetverik is a small, largely uninhabited island located in the northern reaches of the Azure Archipelago. Geographically, it is characterized by rugged, rocky terrain and sparse vegetation, primarily consisting of hardy coastal shrubs and grasses. The island's coastline is marked by steep cliffs and a few small, sheltered coves. Its climate is temperate maritime, with cool, wet winters and mild, dry summers.

The island's history is relatively undocumented, with limited evidence of permanent human settlement. Archaeological findings suggest sporadic use by seafaring peoples for temporary shelter or resource gathering in ancient times. More recently, its isolation and challenging environment have prevented significant development. The name "Pecsetverik" is believed to have originated from an indigenous term for "wind-swept stones," reflecting its exposed nature.

Ecologically, Pecsetverik supports a limited but specialized range of flora and fauna adapted to its exposed conditions. Seabirds are abundant, nesting on the cliffs and utilizing the surrounding waters for foraging. A few species of small mammals, such as the endemic Pecsetverik vole, are thought to inhabit the island, though detailed studies are scarce. Due to its remoteness and protected status as part of a marine reserve, Pecsetverik experiences minimal human impact.
