pallasiet
Pallasite is a type of stony-iron meteorite that is composed of approximately equal parts of iron-nickel alloy and silicate minerals. The silicate minerals in pallasites are typically olivine and pyroxene, which are common in terrestrial igneous rocks. Pallasites are believed to have originated from the core-mantle boundary of an asteroid, where the iron-nickel core is in contact with the silicate mantle. This unique origin is reflected in their distinctive appearance, with large olivine crystals embedded in a matrix of iron-nickel alloy.
Pallasites are further classified into two main groups: main-group pallasites and Eagle Station pallasites. Main-group pallasites
Pallasites are of significant scientific interest due to their unique composition and origin. They provide valuable
