organsete
Organsete is a proposed term in speculative cell biology for a small, organelle-like subcellular compartment that operates within cells to organize a localized set of tasks. Unlike canonical organelles, organsetes are hypothesized to be dynamic, often membraneless structures formed by the phase separation of proteins, RNA, and other macromolecules. They are imagined to assemble in response to cellular state and disassemble when their function ends.
