Ndëvarësive, also known as the Albanian National Assembly, is the unicameral legislature of Albania. It is composed of 140 members, known as deputies, who are elected by universal suffrage for a term of four years. The Assembly is responsible for enacting laws, approving the national budget, and overseeing the government. It also has the power to impeach the President and the Prime Minister. The Assembly is headquartered in Tirana, the capital of Albania. The current President of the Assembly is Lindita Nikolla. The Assembly is divided into several committees, each responsible for a specific area of legislation. These include the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Defense, and the Committee on Justice. The Assembly meets regularly to debate and vote on legislation, and it is an important institution in the democratic governance of Albania.
