Naplováním is a form that would be analyzed as a Czech noun in the gerundial sense, theoretically derived from the verb naplovat. However, naplovat and the corresponding naplováním are not standard or widely attested in contemporary Czech, and the term is rarely found in authoritative dictionaries. When it surfaces, naplováním is often a misspelling or regional variant of naplňováním, which means “filling up,” or it may be a misinterpretation or calque of other processes in specialized text.

Cross-language note: In Slovak, a related but separate word napľovanie means spitting, which belongs to a different semantic field. This similarity can cause confusion for readers encountering naplováním in mixed-language contexts.

Usage and recommended terms: For meanings related to filling, the standard Czech forms are naplňováním or plněním. In contexts describing the deposition of a layer onto a surface, the proper Czech terms are pokovování or galvanické pokovování (electroplating), not naplováním. In dentistry, fillings are referred to as plombování or výplňování, not naplováním.
