mõists

Mõists is a term that may appear in Estonian-language texts. It is not commonly used as an independent noun in standard dictionaries.

In everyday Estonian, mõistis is the past tense of mõista, meaning "understood." The form mõists corresponds to "he/she understood" in the past tense with the subject ta.

In fiction or linguistic coinage, Mõists could be used as a proper noun, for example as the name of a philosophical school or a group. In such uses, its meaning would be defined by the work in which it appears.
