Motorindítási refers to the process of starting an internal combustion engine. This typically involves a sequence of operations designed to overcome inertia, introduce fuel and air, and initiate combustion. The primary component responsible for initiating this process is the starter motor, an electric motor powered by the vehicle's battery.

When the ignition switch is turned to the "start" position, a signal is sent to the starter solenoid. The solenoid engages a small gear, known as the pinion gear, which meshes with the engine's flywheel. Simultaneously, the solenoid completes the electrical circuit, supplying power from the battery to the starter motor. The starter motor then spins, turning the flywheel and thus the engine's crankshaft.

As the crankshaft rotates, the pistons begin to move, drawing a mixture of fuel and air into the cylinders. The spark plugs then ignite this mixture, causing a controlled explosion that generates the power to turn the crankshaft. Once the engine begins to run under its own power, the starter motor disengages from the flywheel, and the ignition switch is released from the "start" position.
