Montaysty is a small rural settlement located in the northern region of the Republic of Alderon, approximately 45 kilometres from the provincial capital of Lyrendale. As of the most recent census in 2023, the community has a population of 1,214 residents, the majority of whom are engaged in agriculture and small‑scale forestry.
