Modulatsiooniga is a term used in signal processing and telecommunications to describe the process of altering one or more properties of a carrier wave, such as its amplitude, frequency, or phase, with an information-bearing signal. This process is fundamental to transmitting information wirelessly or over physical channels. The carrier wave is a high-frequency signal that is used to transport the information signal, which typically has a much lower frequency. By modulating the carrier wave, the information signal is encoded onto it, allowing it to travel efficiently over long distances.

There are several common types of modulation. Amplitude Modulation (AM) involves varying the amplitude of the carrier wave in proportion to the message signal.
