A mikroplate, also known as a microplate or microtiter plate, is a flat-panel tray that holds tiny amounts of liquid. It is a disposable laboratory consumable, typically made of polystyrene, and features a rectangular grid of small wells. These wells can range in number from 6 to 1536, with 96-well and 384-well plates being the most common.
