Miednica refers to the pelvis, a basin-shaped structure in the skeletal system located at the inferior part of the trunk. It is formed by the two hip bones (ossa coxae), the sacrum, and the coccyx. Each hip bone is a fusion of three bones: the ilium, the ischium, and the pubis.
