mellanorrscaviteten
Mellanorrscaviteten, also known as the middle cerebellar peduncle or brachium pontis, is a paired structure of the brainstem that connects the pons to the cerebellum. It is one of the three cerebellar peduncles, the other two being the superior cerebellar peduncle and the inferior cerebellar peduncle. The middle cerebellar peduncle is the largest of the three peduncles and plays a crucial role in transmitting information from the cerebral cortex to the cerebellum.
The fibers within the middle cerebellar peduncle are primarily pontine fibers, which originate in the pontine
Damage to the middle cerebellar peduncle can result in a variety of neurological deficits, including ataxia
