Levysiivilät, often translated as disc harrows, are agricultural implements used for soil preparation. They consist of a series of concave discs, typically made of hardened steel, mounted on gangs. These gangs are angled to cut, break up, and mix soil. Levysiivilät are employed for a variety of tasks including tilling, cultivating, and incorporating crop residues or fertilizers into the soil.

The primary function of a levysiivilä is to disrupt the soil surface, breaking clods and creating a more uniform seedbed. The angled discs slice through the soil, inverting and mixing it.
