The brightest star in Lateinstar is Alpha Corvi, also known as Alchiba, which is a binary star system located approximately 63 light-years away from Earth. The constellation is home to several other notable stars, including Beta Corvi, a yellow giant star, and Gamma Corvi, a binary star system consisting of a white main-sequence star and a red dwarf.

Lateinstar is not particularly prominent in the night sky and is not associated with any notable mythology or legends. However, it has been studied by astronomers for its interesting stellar populations and has been the subject of various astronomical research projects. The constellation's location in the southern hemisphere makes it more visible from the Southern Hemisphere than from the Northern Hemisphere.
