langfristet

Langfristet is a German adjective describing something oriented toward the long term or involving a long time horizon. In everyday German, the more common form is langfristig, but langfristet appears in formal, technical, or regional usage to denote long-term orientation.

Etymology: The term combines lang (long) and Frist (term, deadline) and is related to the noun Langfristigkeit (long-term nature) and to the more common adjectives langfristig. It reflects the notion of a term or planning horizon that extends over many years.

Usage and meaning: Langfristet is used to characterize plans, investments, policies, or strategies intended to extend over several years or decades.
