Kyllirilisestä refers to the Cyrillic script, an alphabetic writing system used by various languages, most notably those of Slavic origin, as well as some non-Slavic languages within the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. The script is named after Saint Cyril, a Byzantine missionary who, along with his brother Methodius, is credited with developing the Glagolitic alphabet in the 9th century.
