kopparIIhydroxid
Koppar(II)hydroxid is an inorganic chemical compound with the formula Cu(OH)₂. It is a blue or greenish-blue solid that is insoluble in water. Koppar(II)hydroxid is formed when a soluble copper(II) salt, such as copper(II) sulfate, is mixed with a strong base, like sodium hydroxide. The reaction is a precipitation reaction, where the insoluble koppar(II)hydroxid forms as a solid.
This compound occurs naturally in the mineral form called brochantite. Koppar(II)hydroxid is used in various applications.
