Konversiohäviöt, known in English as conversion losses, refers to the loss of energy that occurs during the process of converting electrical energy from one form to another. This is a fundamental concept in electrical engineering and power systems.

Resistive losses occur when electric current flows through a conductor, and the resistance of the material causes some of the electrical energy to be dissipated as heat.
