kielelliselle

Kielelliselle is the allative form of the Finnish adjective kielellinen, meaning linguistic or language-related. It is used when the adjective directly modifies a noun that is in the allative case, typically to express “to” or “for” that noun. Finnish adjectives decline to agree with the noun in number and case, so kielellinen takes the form kielelliselle before a singular noun in the allative, and kielellisille before a plural noun in the allative.

A common example is kielelliselle tutkimukselle, meaning “for linguistic research” (the noun tutkimus is in the allative).
