Käsiteautoritarismi, a Finnish term, translates to "concept authoritarianism" or "ideological authoritarianism." It describes a phenomenon where a particular ideology or a set of concepts becomes so dominant and unquestioned within a society or a group that alternative viewpoints are suppressed or dismissed without proper consideration. This often occurs when the proponents of the dominant ideology actively promote their ideas as the only valid or correct way of thinking, while actively discouraging or marginalizing dissent.

The core of käsiteautoritarismi lies in the rigid adherence to a specific set of beliefs or a theoretical framework. Those who subscribe to this dominant concept may develop a tendency to interpret all new information through its lens, often distorting or ignoring evidence that contradicts their established views.
