kääntöpöytä
Kääntöpöytää, a Finnish term, translates directly to "turntable" or "record player" in English. It refers to an electro-mechanical device used for playing gramophone records. The core component is a rotating disc, the turntable itself, onto which a vinyl record is placed. A tonearm, equipped with a stylus (needle), is then lowered onto the record's groove. As the turntable spins, the stylus tracks the modulations in the groove, converting them into electrical signals. These signals are then amplified and sent to a loudspeaker, reproducing the recorded sound.
Modern kääntöpöytä designs often incorporate features such as adjustable tracking force, anti-skating mechanisms, and various speed
