izledik

Izledik is the simple past tense form of the Turkish verb izlemek, which means to watch, look at, or follow. When used with the subject we (biz), izledik expresses that we watched something in the past, often with a definite sense of having completed the action. The form is built by taking the stem izle-, adding the past tense marker di- to yield izledi-, and then attaching the first-person plural ending -k to form izledik. Turkish past-tense verbs change for person and number through suffixes, so related forms include izledim (I watched), izledin (you watched), izledi (he/she/it watched), izlediniz (you all watched), and izlediler (they watched).
