Intrascapular refers to something located within the scapula, also known as the shoulder blade. The scapula is a large, triangular flat bone that lies over the posterior aspect of the thorax. It connects the humerus (upper arm bone) with the clavicle (collarbone). Within the scapula itself are various anatomical structures and spaces.
