Impedansseja is the Finnish plural form of impedanssi, used to refer to multiple impedances in electrical circuits or networks. In electrical engineering, impedanssi, or impedance, is the complex quantity that opposes the flow of alternating current. It extends the notion of resistance to AC signals and accounts for the phase shift between voltage and current.

Impedanssi is denoted by Z and is a complex number Z = R + jX, where R is the resistance and X is the reactance. Reactance X equals X_L − X_C, with X_L = ωL for inductors and X_C = 1/(ωC) for capacitors. Inductive reactance is positive, capacitive reactance is negative.
