Immunkezelés, also known as immunotherapy, is a type of cancer treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer. It works by stimulating the body's own natural defenses to recognize and destroy cancer cells. Unlike traditional treatments like chemotherapy or radiation, which directly attack cancer cells, immunotherapies work by empowering the immune system to do the work.

Immunotherapy can be used to treat a variety of cancers, including melanoma, lung cancer, kidney cancer, and certain types of leukemia and lymphoma. It can be used alone or in combination with other cancer treatments. While immunotherapy has shown significant promise and success in many cases, it can also have side effects. These side effects are often related to the immune system becoming overactive and attacking healthy tissues, leading to conditions like inflammation in various organs. The specific side effects and their severity can vary depending on the type of immunotherapy used and the individual patient. Research into new and improved immunotherapies is ongoing, with the goal of making these treatments more effective and manageable.
