ICZNi stands for the International Consortium for Zinc and Nickel Technologies. It is an international, non-profit organization created to advance research, development, and standardization in zinc and nickel technologies, including coatings, alloys, and related energy storage applications.

Founded in 2010 by a coalition of universities, research institutes, and industry partners, ICZNi coordinates collaborative projects and disseminates technical knowledge. The governance structure comprises a General Assembly of member organizations, a Board of Directors, a Scientific Council, and a Secretariat that manages day-to-day operations. Members include corporate laboratories, academic institutions, and affiliate partners from multiple regions.

The consortium funds and manages joint research programs, organizes meetings and conferences, and develops technical guidelines, best-practice documents, and data-sharing frameworks. Its core focus areas include zinc-nickel alloy coatings for corrosion protection, electroplating processes, material characterization, energy storage materials based on zinc-nickel chemistry, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

ICZNi has contributed to harmonization efforts in industry standards and promoted collaboration between academia and industry. Through publications, collaborative projects, and technical committees, it aims to improve the performance, durability, and environmental footprint of zinc and nickel technologies.
