huszonkett

Huszonkett is a nonstandard or truncated spelling sometimes encountered as an informal variant of the Hungarian cardinal number twenty-two. The proper, widely accepted form in Hungarian is huszonkettő, which ends with the letter ő. In contexts where diacritics are omitted, forms such as huszonketto may appear, but huszonkett without the final vowel is not considered correct standard orthography.

Etymology and formation: The number is formed from húsz (twenty) and kettő (two) and in standard Hungarian becomes huszonkettő. In the 20s, Hungarian uses a distinct prefix pattern for twenty-something numbers: huszonegy (21), huszonkettő (22), huszonhárom (23), huszonnégoy?
