Hundert is the German word for the number 100. It functions as a cardinal numeral and is used in a variety of contexts to indicate an exact quantity, age, price, or percentage when written in words, and in compound terms such as Jahrhundert (century) or hundert Jahre (one hundred years). In fixed expressions it appears in forms like hundertprozentig (completely, literally one hundred percent) and hundertfach (hundredfold).

Hundert is etymologically related to the English word hundred; both derive from the old Germanic word for a group of one hundred. The term appears in many Germanic languages with similar forms and cognates.

The word also occurs in proper names. A well-known example is Friedensreich Hundertwasser, an Austrian artist and architect whose surname contains Hundert as a component meaning “hundred” in combination with Wasser (“water”). The usage of Hundert in names reflects historical naming practices and does not in itself convey a numerical meaning.
