Humeroradiaalset refers to the articulation between the humerus and the radius bones of the upper limb. This joint, commonly known as the radiocapitellar joint, is a crucial component of the elbow complex. It is a type of synovial joint classified as a pivot joint, although its function within the elbow is more complex, contributing to both flexion/extension and pronation/supination movements.

The articulation is formed by the capitulum of the humerus, which is a rounded eminence on the distal end of the humerus, and the radial head, which is the proximal end of the radius. The radial head articulates with the capitulum to permit the rotation of the radius. This rotation is essential for forearm movements, allowing the palm to face upwards (supination) or downwards (pronation).

In conjunction with the humeroulnar joint (between the humerus and the ulna), the humeroradiaalset allows for the full range of motion at the elbow. The stability of this joint is maintained by the surrounding ligaments, primarily the annular ligament, which encircles the radial head and attaches to the ulna, and the radial collateral ligament, which extends from the lateral epicondyle of the humerus to the annular ligament and the radius. Injuries to the humeroradiaalset can result in pain, limited motion, and instability of the elbow joint.
