Hooton is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester, England. It is located a short distance to the southwest of Ellesmere Port. The village has a recorded history dating back to at least the Domesday Book, where it was listed as Houtune. Historically, Hooton was part of the Wirral Hundred.
