Hematopoetické is a term of Czech origin, translating to "hematopoietic" in English. It refers to the process of producing blood cells, also known as hematopoiesis. This is a continuous and complex process that occurs primarily in the bone marrow of vertebrates. Hematopoiesis is crucial for life, as blood cells are responsible for a multitude of vital functions, including oxygen transport, immune defense, and blood clotting.

The hematopoietic process begins with pluripotent stem cells.
