Hegyeszögök is a Hungarian term that translates to "pointed corners" or "acute angles." In mathematics, it refers to angles that measure less than 90 degrees but greater than 0 degrees. This category of angles is fundamental in geometry and trigonometry.

Angles are formed by two rays originating from a common endpoint, called the vertex. The measure of an angle quantifies the amount of rotation between these two rays. A hegyesszög, or acute angle, represents a relatively small opening between the rays. For example, a 30-degree angle or a 60-degree angle are both considered hegyesszögök.

In contrast to acute angles, there are also right angles (exactly 90 degrees), obtuse angles (greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees), and straight angles (exactly 180 degrees).
