Hanghullámoknál refers to sound waves in Hungarian. Sound waves are mechanical waves that propagate through a medium, such as air, water, or solids, by causing vibrations of the particles within that medium. These vibrations travel outwards from the source of the sound as a series of compressions and rarefactions. Compressions are regions where the particles are momentarily closer together, increasing the pressure, while rarefactions are regions where the particles are spread further apart, decreasing the pressure.
