Handsheeted refers to a method of paper or pulp testing where a small sample of pulp is formed into a sheet by hand. This process is crucial for evaluating the physical properties of pulp and understanding how it will perform in a larger paper machine. The handsheet is made by dispersing a known amount of pulp fibers in water to create a slurry. This slurry is then poured into a special apparatus, often a British Standard handsheet mold or a similar device, which contains a fine mesh screen.
