Halluxes refers to the plural form of hallux, which is the anatomical term for the big toe. The hallux is the innermost and largest digit of the human foot. Each hallux consists of three bones: the distal phalanx, the intermediate phalanx, and the proximal phalanx, along with two sesamoid bones located beneath the metatarsophalangeal joint.
