habéis

Habéis is the second-person plural present indicative form of the auxiliary verb haber in Spanish. It is used primarily to form the present perfect tense with the pronoun vosotros, equivalent to “you have” in English when addressed to a group that uses the vosotros form. With a past participle, habéis expresses actions completed in the present context: vosotros habéis hablado, habéis llegado, habéis comido.

In standard Spanish, habéis occurs in regions that use the vosotros form (mainly Spain and parts of the Caribbean). In most Latin American varieties, the present perfect for the second person plural is formed with ustedes han: ustedes han hablado, ustedes han comido. The form habéis is generally avoided in communities where no vosotros is used.

A secondary, more formal or literary usage is habéis de + infinitive, meaning “you must/should” or “you are obliged to.” This construction is less common in everyday speech today, where se suele usar tenéis que or deben.
