Häirekeskus is the Estonian central emergency response service. It is a public authority responsible for receiving emergency calls and coordinating the response of emergency services. The primary function of Häirekeskus is to receive distress calls made on the pan-European emergency number 112. Upon receiving a call, trained operators assess the situation and dispatch the appropriate emergency services, which include the Police and Border Guard Board, the Rescue Board, and the Emergency Medical Service.
