globosídeos
Globosides are a class of neutral glycosphingolipids. They are characterized by the presence of one or more neutral sugar residues attached to a ceramide backbone. The simplest globoside is cyaloside, which consists of a glucose residue linked to a ceramide. More complex globosides can have additional monosaccharides such as galactose, N-acetylgalactosamine, or N-acetylglucosamine. These sugars are typically linked via glycosidic bonds in a linear or branched fashion.
Globosides are found in the cell membranes of many animal tissues, particularly in the plasma membrane. They
The biosynthesis of globosides occurs in the Golgi apparatus through the sequential addition of sugar residues
