Fuusioreaktiolla, also known as nuclear fusion, is a process in which atomic nuclei combine to form heavier nuclei, releasing a significant amount of energy in the process. Nuclear fusion has the potential to provide a nearly limitless source of clean energy. However, achieving controlled nuclear fusion on Earth has proven to be a significant technical challenge. Scientists have been working on developing fusion reactors that can sustain a self-heating plasma, where the energy released by the fusion reactions is sufficient to maintain the high temperatures and pressures required for the reaction to continue.

One of the most promising approaches to achieving controlled nuclear fusion is the use of magnetic confinement, where the plasma is confined within a magnetic field. Another approach is inertial confinement, where a small pellet of fuel is compressed using high-energy lasers or ion beams to initiate the fusion reaction. Despite these challenges, ongoing research and development efforts aim to make nuclear fusion a viable source of energy in the future.
