Frisparksreglerna refers to the rules governing free kicks in various sports, most notably association football (soccer). A free kick is a method of restarting play in football. It is awarded when a player commits a foul. The opposing team is awarded the kick from the spot of the foul.

There are two types of free kicks: direct and indirect. A direct free kick may be struck directly at the opponent's goal and a goal can be scored from it. An indirect free kick, however, must be touched by another player (either a teammate or an opponent) before a goal can be scored. The referee signals an indirect free kick by holding one arm straight up in the air until the ball is touched by another player or goes out of play.

When a free kick is taken, all opposing players must be at least 10 yards (9.15 meters) from the ball until it is kicked. This is known as the "wall." However, for indirect free kicks taken inside the penalty area by the defending team, the opposing players can be as close as they wish if they are on the goal line between the goalposts.

The ball must be stationary when the free kick is taken. The kicker cannot touch the ball a second time before it has been touched by another player. If this happens, an indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team. Specific rules also apply to defending free kicks within one's own penalty area and attacking free kicks in the opponent's penalty area.
